The Journal of Ayurvedic Pathology and Medicine (JAPM) is a Bi-Monthly, Double-Blind Peer-Reviewed, Open-Access academic journal published by Ayurvedant Healthcare. The journal is devoted to promoting high-quality research and scholarly discourse in the domains of Ayurvedic Pathology (Rogavijnana), Clinical Diagnostics, and Integrative Health Sciences.
JAPM provides a scientific platform for researchers, clinicians, and academicians to disseminate evidence-based findings that strengthen the diagnostic foundations of Ayurveda and connect them with contemporary biomedical science.
Aims and Objectives
JAPM aims to:
- Publish original and innovative research contributing to the advancement of Ayurvedic diagnostic science.
- Encourage critical re-evaluation of classical diagnostic frameworks such as Nidana Panchaka, Rogavijnana, and Vikriti Vigyan in the light of modern investigative methodologies.
- Facilitate cross-disciplinary dialogue between Ayurveda and allied health sciences for developing integrative diagnostic models.
- Uphold academic and ethical integrity in publication and contribute to the evidence-based evolution of Ayurvedic clinical practice.
Scope of the Journal
JAPM welcomes high-quality manuscripts in the following categories:
- Original Research Articles – Clinical, experimental, or observational studies related to Ayurvedic diagnostics and pathology.
- Review Articles – Comprehensive analyses of classical Ayurvedic concepts, emerging diagnostic techniques, and interdisciplinary integration.
- Case Studies and Case Series – Well-documented clinical cases highlighting diagnostic reasoning and Ayurvedic-modern correlations.
- Short Communications – Brief reports on innovative diagnostic tools or conceptual explorations.
- Academic Notes / Viewpoints – Thought-provoking perspectives that encourage academic debate in Ayurvedic pathology.
The journal accepts manuscripts written in English, adhering to standard scientific and referencing norms (Vancouver or APA style).

The journal is published Bi-Monthly (six issues per year) in electronic format.

JAPM is an Open-Access Journal, allowing unrestricted online access to all published content at www.japm.in.

Peer Review Policy
All submitted manuscripts undergo a Double-Blind Peer-Review Process:
- Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers possessing subject expertise.
- Reviewers remain anonymous to the authors, and vice versa.
- Editorial decisions are based on the reviewers’ recommendations, scientific merit, originality, and ethical compliance.
- The Editorial Board reserves the right to make final decisions regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection.
Editorial and Review Ethics
JAPM adheres to the ethical principles outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to:
- Maintain confidentiality and transparency in all stages of review.
- Disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
- Ensure originality, avoid plagiarism, and provide due acknowledgment of all sources.
- Follow standard ethical norms for clinical and experimental research, including institutional ethical clearance when applicable.
Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement
- Authorship: Only individuals who have made substantial contributions to the research and manuscript preparation should be listed as authors.
- Plagiarism Policy: Manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software before acceptance. Any manuscript found with unethical duplication will be rejected.
- Data Integrity: Authors must retain original data and provide it to editors on request for verification.
- Conflict of Interest: Authors and reviewers must disclose all potential conflicts that might influence interpretation.
- Corrections and Retractions: Errors detected post-publication will be addressed through errata, corrigenda, or retractions as deemed appropriate by the editorial team.
