The Journal of Ayurvedic Pathology and Medicine (JAPM) is committed to providing transparent, fair, and high-quality editorial and publishing services. This Refund Policy explains the circumstances under which refunds may or may not be issued for manuscript processing and publication-related fees.

Authors are advised to read this policy carefully before submitting a manuscript.

Eligibility for Full Refund

1. Manuscript Not Sent for Peer Review

A full refund will be issued if a submitted manuscript is rejected during initial editorial screening, before being sent for peer review (e.g., scope mismatch, format non-compliance).

2. Manuscript rejected after Peer Review

A full refund will be issued if the manuscript undergoes peer review but is not accepted for publication by the editorial board. Refunds are processed within 7–10 business days using the original payment method.

Non-Refundable Scenarios

1. Author-Initiated Withdrawal

No refund will be issued if the author voluntarily withdraws the manuscript at any stage of submission, review, or revision.

2. Declined Revision

If revisions are requested and the author chooses not to revise and resubmit the manuscript, no refund will be granted.

3. Article Published

Once an article is accepted and published, all services are considered complete and no refunds will be issued.

4. Ethical or Copyright Violations

No refund will be provided if an article is rejected, retracted, or removed due to plagiarism, copyright infringement, data falsification, or ethical misconduct.

  • Date of submission
  • Reason for refund request

Processing Timeline

• Eligibility review: 3–5 business days
• Approval decision: 1–2 business days
• Payment processing: 7–10 business days

Total expected duration: 10–15 business days

• Refunds are issued only through the original payment method.
• Processing times may vary depending on banks or payment gateways.

JAPM reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Any changes will be reflected by an updated revision date on this page and will take effect immediately upon publication.
